  • Fall apart tender beef
  • Easy to make

  • Ready in just a few hours
  • No pre-seasoning needed
  • Perfect for any night of the week

Why is the Mississippi pot roast so good?

I grew up eating this easy dinner idea and now that my kids are now adult kids with places of their own…I’ve shared the recipe with them. It’s just so easy to make, the flavors are AMAZING and for those reasons, that’s why I believe that Mississippi pot roast is so good!

Should the pot roast be submerged in liquid?

It can or it doesn’t have to be submerged. With the added potatoes and carrots in this recipe, you definitely want more moisture to be in the crockpot so they will be cooked thoroughly. That’s why I add the beef broth to my recipe.

It helps to create the moisture and juices needed to cook the carrots and potatoes.

Some recipes for Mississippi pot roast call for mashed potatoes on the side, but I like to make mine all in one simply because it makes it easier on me to get dinner prepped and ready to eat in time for dinner.

How do you reheat this pot roast recipe?

Since there will more than likely be leftovers, you can easily reheat this pot roast in the microwave. If using a microwave, place your desired amount in a microwave-safe bowl or plate. Heat for 1 minute, stir and reheat for another minute.

Check to see if it’s warm enough for you and enjoy! See…simple!

To be honest, I just don’t have time to spend hours slaving over a kitchen stove these days. So I am all about keeping it simple in the kitchen. If I can toss it in a crockpot…I will do it!
