Quick and Easy 15 Minute Chicken Stir Fry Recipe

Now that school is back in session for another year, it can be both overwhelming and busy. If you are like most moms, you may find yourself running out of steam by the time dinner hits and for a lot of us, that means hitting up the local fast food drive-thru. Unfortunately, that also comes with a generous side of guilt as we all know too much of that stuff can be terrible for our health and our children’s growing bodies.

Make Semi-Homemade Meals Amazing #ShineAnytime

Have you ever heard of doing semi-homemade meals? These are meals that are essentially using the convenience foods you can find at the store and using them as a base for a meal you put together with your own fresh ingredients. So at least part of the dish is homemade. This can be a great way to save time and still cook something at home that your family will love! I made (semi-homemade, rather) this Chicken Stir Fry with Jimmy Dean’s® new Base Bowls (Who knew that Jimmy Dean® made more than just breakfast products?!) after I saw them at my local Kroger. I tried the Golden Roasted Chicken Bowl.

Cooking Semi-homemade can also be a great way to save money. I made this amazing stir-fry with just the Jimmy Dean® Golden Roasted Chicken Bowl, a bag of frozen Stir-Fry Veggies, some brown minute rice, and a little bit of soy sauce and sriracha. It was so delicious and I couldn’t believe I was able to stretch this Jimmy Dean® Golden Roasted Chicken Bowl so far! This meal fed my family of 4 (with two hungry pre-teen/teen boys, I might add!) for less than $10! That’s a price you can’t beat!

To get started with making your own semi-homemade meals, Jimmy Dean® has made it easy. There are 16 varieties to choose from to inspire you to make something amazing at home for dinner. Try the Grilled Steak Bowl, for instance. You can turn it into something amazing, I bet!

Just remember, a semi-homemade meal is easy (even if you think you have no skills in the kitchen!), cheaper than take-out or fast food and allows you to get creative.
