What cheese is best for burritos?

I’m partial to either a mild cheddar, Monterey Jack, or fiesta blend, but truth be told, you just want to have a cheese that is mild and easily melted.

What do you put in a burrito?

You can spice things up with this beef and bean burrito recipe by adding different burrito fillings!

You can add corn, bell pepper, change the beans to black beans, diced tomatoes, red onion, and sour cream just to name a few. If you are adding ingredients that are fresh like tomatoes, onion, and sour cream, you will want to add those after baking or reheating them if frozen.

Can you have a burrito without beans?

You can…but who likes that? Well ok, I understand! Beans aren’t for everyone. A burrito can have beans but it doesn’t have to in order to be called a burrito.

If you are taking out the beans, I would add additional flavors mentioned above.

Can you freeze beef and bean burritos?

Absolutely! These baked beef and bean burritos freeze really well. You can freeze them for up to 3 months and reheat them from a thawed or frozen state.

How do you freeze burritos?

You can roll them up in a paper towel tightly and then wrap parchment or wax paper around them to store in a freezer bag in the freezer and they will reheat well.

How do you reheat homemade burritos?

To reheat the frozen homemade beef and bean burritos, you can either thaw them out on the counter or reheat them frozen.

If you are thawing them out first, all you have to do is place the paper towel and parchment-wrapped burrito in the microwave for about 45 seconds to a minute.

If you are reheating the burritos from a frozen state, all you have to do is place the frozen burrito in the microwave and reheat it for 2-2 1/2 minutes.

Either way, this should reheat the burrito completely through.
